STIPULA Il Dono 925 Sterling Silver Limited Edition Fountain Pen #434/988, Year 1996. Stipula, through its writing instruments would attempt to rediscover some of what we feel are the fundamental values of human culture.

In collaboration with the Florentine sculptor Paolo Cerrini, Stipula has created a level of detail and pure artistry never before attempted in a writing instrument. The year 1996 was consecrated to communication among human beings, expressed as the gesture of giving, a gesture which whether simple or lavish always alludes to a will to create a dialogue, to create new relationships and fellowships. In this splendid handicraft fountain pen, created by sculptor Paolo Cerrini (who sculped the basrelieves and signed, in one with Stipula, every single piece) in pinstriped ebonite and 925 sterling silver, Stipula pays tribute to the mythic tale of Athena's great gift to the city-state of Athens, the olive tree. The pen is equipped with the three classical filling systems: cartridge, converter or directly in the barrel. A traditional material in the history of pen manufactoring, result of natural rubber vulcanized with sulphur allows filling the ink directly in the barrel. As an accessory, a pump turned in trasparent resini s enclosed in the box. The capacity of the pump is the same as the barrel: in one single operation it is possible to fill the pen with the exact quantity of ink. Broad (B) 18 K gold nib finished with rhodium. Includes the specific hand-made display box in Imprunetas Terracotta and all packaging and papers. The box is in the style of a classical Greeces temple. The central tag of the cover is 925/1000 sterling silver. Il Dono bears witness to a new way of conceiving the writing instrument. The pen is an art object, symbolic of valorization of expression and knowledge, interpreted by Stipula. The pen is unused and near mint in a nice earthenware box with original paperwork, and identification plate on top and a near mint original box. We use only high quality materials such as double wall cardboard boxes, extra large buble wrap, polypropylene packaging tape, pvc pipe with high resistance.
