OMAS Extra Urbano VIII Limited Edition Fountain Pen. Full Set: all original boxes and papers. Beautiful and scarce fountain pen produced in 1999 by OMAS for the German market. As an Edition of 35 pieces only (another very small quantity has been delivered to the US marked, but the overall production did not exceed 50 pieces).
They were delivered not numbered. Named after Urban VIII, the Pope who put on trial Galileo Galilei as a supporter of the Copernican theory on the motion of celestial bodies in opposition to the theory supported by the Church. This unusual pen is made with the very same wild. Limited Edition 4692, released in 1993 in commemoration of the 650th anniversary of the University of Pisa. The Omas Galileo Galilei is a facetted pen (12-sided Paragon model) and it honours the man who declared the world a round thing. On the other hand the Omas Urbano VIII is round and it honours the man, who did insist the world is a flat thing, Pope Urbano. The barrel is engraved "Urbano VIII". Clip and finishes are rhodium plated.Omas nib in 18k 750 monotone white gold. Lenght pen closed: 14,2 cm.
The concerned pen has been previously used and inked. It comes with all original boxes and papers.
