The number is 102 of 250 made. This is the 2008 Flamme model, one of my favorites. Classic Pens Limited was formed in England in 1987. Fountain pens were a shared passion for the two founders, Andreas Lambrou and Keith G. Their principal aim was to create exclusive fountain pens for pen lovers world-wide.

This culminated in 1990 with the launch of the Classic Pens CP collection of limited editions. The CP series of limited editions comprises flagship models of international pen manufacturers, fully covered in sterling silver and customized by Classic Pens.

Each and every model in the series has been carefully selected not only for its quality, its history and pedigree and its design, but also for its writing performance. The CP pens offer the user unique and exquisite guilloche engravings through which they transcend their function, and become objects of beauty as precious as jewelry, as well as future heirlooms. They bear witness to the imaginative originality of Classic Pens and the fastidious craftsmanship of Murelli.

They also demonstrate the technical precision and expertise of international pen manufacturers. And with every new CP pen, the family of the CP collection increases in diversity and prestige. The eighth limited edition in the Classic Pens CP series is the CP8 Murelli Pens Flamme and Vannerie. It is the fruit of the cooperation between Classic Pens, Aquila Brands and Murelli.

The series is being launched in 2008. The canvas for the CP8 series is the Classic Legend 766 full size fountain pen and 762 full size roller/ball pen. It is the first time that the now popular roller/ball pen writing mode is offered with a CP series. The pens are manufactured in Italy by Aquila Brands to the specification of Classic Pens.

The CP8 series is named in honor of the Murelli Family. Classic Pens and Murelli have had a fruitful working relationship since 1990 with the CP1 Targa, the first series in the CP Collection.
